Strengthen Your Financial Future

About the Program:

The Boston EITC Campaign, with the City of Boston and Mayor Menino, has launched a new program called Strengthen Your Financial Future. It is being offered through three of the Campaign's busiest sites: DotWell’s Codman Square Technical Center in Dorchester, the Roxbury Resource Center in Roxbury, and ABCD’s Tremont Street location in downtown Boston. We are providing financial coaching sessions for participants based on the foundation of five key services:

  • Credit advising
  • Budgeting
  • Banking information
  • Benefits screening
  • Referral assistance

As with everything we do, this effort is very volunteer driven- so we hope you can help out! We are always seeking committed volunteers who have both a knowledge in this area and a willingness to work with participants on an in-depth basis.

Financial Coach Volunteer Description:

The Strengthen Your Financial Future Program is employing teams of professionally trained Financial Coach Volunteers at three of the Campaign’s partner locations. The Financial Coach Volunteer will offer individual coaching sessions year-round to improve the financial strength of the participants.

Financial Coach Volunteers receive training from a Certified Educator in Personal Finance during two, three hour training sessions held on a monthly basis. After this, Financial Coaches will be asked to work for one to two hours a week.

If you are interested in serving as a Financial Coach Volunteer, please complete an application (avaiable below) and send it to Jessica Cook at the Boston EITC Campaign.
