STILL interested in volunteering? Have we got the answer for YOU!!

Tax season may be over for the year, but you can still volunteer! If you have experience or knowledge in finances and are interested in helping low to middle income individuals achieve lasting financial empowerment, the Coalition's new Strengthen Your Financial Future program may be the perfect volunteering opportunity. Through training with a Certified Educator in Personal Finance you will be able to work directly with participants on their own individual financial situation. The next trainings start as early as mid-June and then again in July - so apply soon!

Spearheaded by the Office of Mayor Thomas Menino and with non-profit, corporate, and community partners, the Coalition has provided low and moderate income taxpayers with free financial services since 2001. From January to April, we provide free tax preparation at twenty-eight volunteer-staffed locations around Boston. The Coalition also now offers a year-round financial coaching program that directly involves volunteers in promoting economic empowerment in Boston communities.
