Description:

The Boston Redevelopment Authority along with the City of Boston's Environment Department would like to invite you to review and discuss our new Climate Change Preparedness and Resiliency Guidelines. It is anticipated that within the next month the BRA will be adopting Climate Change Preparedness and Resiliency Guidelines within the current Design Review Guidelines, and we would like to hear your thoughts. The Climate Change Resiliency and Preparedness Guidelines will encourage developers to conduct the analysis of a proposed project's impacts on the surrounding environment that are attributable to the forecasted climate conditions over the full duration of the expected life of the project.  Utilizing the best available science and all reasonable projections, project proponents will be encouraged to identify changes in the climate and environment and how such changes will affect the project's environmental impacts including the survivability, integrity and safety of the project and its inhabitants. This meeting will allow all interested parties to:

  • Review the Climate Change Preparedness and Resiliency Guidelines.
  • Understand how these Guidelines fit within the current Article 80 development review submissions.
  • Ask questions and Give comments
