Mt. Vernon Street 25% Design

The Boston Redevelopment Authority (“BRA”) is requesting proposals to develop to an approved 25% Design, consistent with the City’s Complete Streets Guidelines, for Mt. Vernon Street in Columbia Point, Dorchester. Mt. Vernon Street forms a central spine for Columbia Point institutions and neighborhoods. The BRA and the City seek a sustainable, multi-modal design--including a cycle track—to unlock sustainable transportation options for the future of the peninsula. The objective of the RFP is to hire an experienced design team with expertise in transportation planning, engineering, urban design, landscape design, sustainability, and complete streets design principles to develop an approved 25% design for the street. The team must be led by a Project Manager with demonstrated expertise and practical experience in managing a multi-disciplinary team to a successful outcome within 12 months of contract execution. The consultant may be required to contract with subconsultants and vendors as the consultant deems necessary, with the direction and approval of the BRA, to complete the services. The final product will be an approved 25% Design for Mt. Vernon Street.
