WriteBoston is a citywide initiative that mobilizes schools, families and community agencies to improve writing proficiency among Boston high school students. Writing is critical to academic success and has proven to be the gateway skill for student success on the MCAS. Writing is also the skill that employers most frequently cite as key to job effectiveness. Initiated by Mayor Menino, WriteBoston is a public/private partnership.
