RFQ for Upham's Corner Public Art Work

Nov 08, 2013

The Dudley Street Neighborhood Initiative (DSNI) has issued an RFQ for permanent public artwork to be displayed in the Upham's Corner neighborhood of Dorchester. This location was selected to complement some of the exciting increases in transit planned for the Fairmount Corridor. The artwork's concept should promote local cultural assets and its installation should involve the hiring and training of local apprentices.

DSNI welcome qualifications from professional artists, artisans, architects, landscape architects, or teams. RFQ submissions are due November 14, 2013. Full details can be found on the RFQ's webpage.

Many community groups and City departments collaborated on the planning of this RFQ. Staff from the Boston Public Art Commission and the Boston Redevelopment Authority worked with groups of community partners to the secure the grant funding for this project.
